Gopherwould've given a 5 for completeness if there was more detailed info on how to play. I fiddled with it for a while, but never quite got the feel for it. For a complex game, detailed instructions, ideally in-game tutorials, are a must.

zogglesI had the whole screen green, but didnt win. Not sure I fully understand the aim of the game. Shame about the exiting bug but that didnt cost you any points anywhere.

logicalhippoReally cool concept and it works a lot better than I thought it would. Better documentation might help, as it took me a while to figure stuff out. AI is a little too easy. I'd love to see an online multiplayer version of this game :-D. The not dying properly was kinda annoying.

dumpleI think a combat version of Conway's game of Life is a really neat idea. It looks nice - things run quickly, and very smoothly. This is one of my favorite entries, though it feels more like a concept piece than something I'd want to keep playing after the first couple of levels.

EndurionFunny idea, combining Life with Infection. Upon playing i noticed though that i couldn't control my influence too good, things are happening too fast. Would be nice to have a smaller testfield with a slow-down function.

LordCovenantWell, this seems like a very nice entry, although it's too random for me... I've tried playing it for a while, but the oponnent was too fast for me, and I didn't have any real metric of how I was doing (let alone understand half of what I was doing)... I think some sound would definetly help here...

ondrewI really liked the idea of 'Game of Life Deathmatch'.

ThenendThats a difficult game to play, you must know the good "Life" patterns. Maybe playing more time you can create your weapons for spread, fight, bombing and all. There is a problem when selecting the cells due to program not diferenciating one mouse press from multiple clicks that dificults playing. mmm, Maybe with predefined patterns it will be more playable. Very innovative, and interesting idea I think.

CenozoicI really like the use of the Game of Life, especially with the lasers and weapon building. However, as Life is all about emergent complexity, I don't really have any control. Mostly, it's just lots of clicking and a little missle/laser rationing, which is only interesting for a bit. Also, this totally aside from the game design, the mouse buttons are way too sensitive. I frequently fire all my missles (as many as ten) at once, in what I thought was once click. Are you maybe just reading the state of the mouse buttons?

JolleKind of an odd twist, but it's not very easy to win within the time you have. But maybe that's just me, one who do not know any good patterns.

TwinnedArakWow, you definitely get Innovation points! This was an excellent application of the Game of Life. Unfortunately, my strategy never evolved beyond "click really fast and try to paint the entire screen with my colours". It would be great if the game could somehow involve more planning and strategizing... it might have to slow down a bit, and maybe the weapon powers would have to be reduced.
