Triple digit heat

My friend in Texas just told me in an email that they have had some brief relief from triple digit heat :shock: recently due to hurricanes passing through. It has been pretty hot here in Toronto but not that bad, unless you count how it feels due to humidity.

Is it hot where you are? What can you do to relieve the heat?

It's pretty hot around here. I stay cool by staying inside. :p

It's hot everywhere because of the Global Warming :P All I have at my disposal to fight the heat is a really old (at least a decade) electric fan (which admittedly doesn't work that well anymore >_>). Oh, and it's normally hot both outside and inside, so I can't hide from it -o_-o The last few days have been somewhat cooler, though, luckily, and it's been raining today. Yay.

BTW, "triple digit heat" would mean certain death here since we use the Celsius/centigrade scale :D

Imagine in a place where they used Kelvin. 0_o
K------F------C
100 = -300 = -200
150 = -190 = -120

This evening I was actually cold! I went downtown with my Dad to look at a new apartment and I was wearing shorts. A cool wind started to blow from along the lakeshore and next thing I know it's goosebumps time. It doesn't seem fair to have to guard against both being too hot and too cold on the same day, but that's Toronto for you. If you don't like the weather, wait ten minutes.

I was cold yesterday as well. My Mom and I went to watch a football game in an open air stadium. And then it started raining, so we fled.

Wait... that can't be right. Kelvins are just Degrees Celsius shifted so that 0 is at absolute zero, yet you have +50K=+80 degrees C...

0K = -273.15C, sez Wikipedia.

K: 100, 150
C:-173.15, -123.15

I have no idea about Fahrenheit - it's a dead, old-fashioned thing. :p *runs*
