I like how the image is labeled "Stupid Americans." Real touch of class there.

Re: Seriously?

This is exactly the reason why I had to throw away 3 weeks of work on my SS9 world, even though I added a friendly Muslim ambiance there, some people will think of it as being some sign of terrorism. ARGH!! This type of thing really sends me through the roof.

I, uh, don't think anyone active in the community these days is in the kind of mindset where a "friendly Muslim ambiance" will be an automatic jump to "terrorism is going to happen in this addon". I certainly wouldn't have a problem with it.

For others who might not know, the source image is probably from one of Mafiascum's guides on Mafia roles. I'd say not to take it too seriously given how much Mafia is a parody of real life and further how much those illustrations are intended to convey a general idea of the role with as little effort as possible rather than providing a completely accurate depiction of the term as it's known in the real world. Sure, there's other ways to convey the idea of a "Terrorist" role (this isn't even a common role) in 30 seconds worth of vector art, but this is the one the artist went with at the time.

Hey look, a truth! I love truths!

Also another truth is that Mafiascum is entirely separate website from Hamumu, which is actually really easy to find out.

Sometimes reactor it seems like you go looking for trouble.
Now a quote from Michel Jackson
"If you want the world to change, start with the man in the mirror"
And sometimes its best not to go looking for trouble

I found this one on a sale on Ebay, I just decided to point it out.

You know, it's pretty disappointing at what the world is turning to, continuous militarization and fake evidence towards a culture.

I suppose there is nothing I can do about it, but please take it with a grain of salt to not fall into this propaganda.

couple things:
1. I have no idea what that means
2. I am interested in what specifically you dislike about the game
3. (from my admittedly cynical point of view), that game is kinda amusing, if only because of Bush.

HappyStikBeaver 09-17-2014 10:17 PM

Ok, that game is pretty stupid and mildly humorous, but it's not like it says "the entire middle eastern population vs. USA." It says Laden vs. USA, and it's a hard argument to say Bin Laden wasn't a terrorist ringleader. Overall I feel anti-Muslim sentiment had begun to decline until the ISIS hype. Now we should probably get ready for more over-generalizations and stereotypes, especially if this turns into a larger conflict. Anyways, most any type of person can be subject to ugly prejudice and racial stereotyping like this, not just eastern Europeans.
