This is such a cool livestream! Confirmation of touchdown in a couple minutes.
EDIT: Philae has touched down and harpooned and so forth
EDIT2: OK so harpoons less expected than before, but hey. Still solid.

They didn't really show a live feed from the lander... Kept on waiting to see it...

By the way, why do they keep calling it a comet? I mean, it's certainly much bigger then a comet, and it has no tail. It's sort of like an asteroid, but more like a planetoid. Some of the surfaces look really smooth, I think I identified some cliffs and a strange object.

The heck!

We have the technology, but we are not really getting anywhere, science seems to be stuck.

It's definitely a comet. Comets only gain tails when they are close to the sun/hot. Right now the comet is far enough away/cold enough that there isn't really a tail.

As for size it's about average. You also aren't ever going to see a live feed: I'm 99.9% sure there isn't a video camera, because that is a huge amount of data to send, and a big power drain. Also keep in mind all tech on the lander is ten years old. Also 30 minute delay, which is like half a billion km. (Mars is different in that it's closer, much newer tech, and battery life is nowhere near as important. )

Oh come on guys, do you really believe everything they say? It's not a comet, it's definitely a planetoid of some kind, or probably a chunk which came off a planet, have a look over at one source: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencete...-set-data.html

And what about the signal which came from it? http://blogs.esa.int/rosetta/2014/11...singing-comet/

It's very piercing...

Even if your right, your wrong. And oscillations in its magnetic field is interesting for sure, but not Illuminati controversy whatever your implying.

Considering 'they' are experts who have dedicated their life to this kind of stuff, yes, I do believe them. Because I know enough to know what I don't know.

Also the Daily Mail is literally the opposite of a credible source.

The 'signal' is magnetic weirdness. It is massively unlikely that it carries any kind of meaning. While explaining electromagnetism is hard, creating a field of it is fairly simple.

I will generally believe the experts on things like this. It's generally wise when the issue at hand is explicitly science.
Also does anyone actually say that this isn't a comet? Especially anyone who is an actual scientist? Even the Daily Mail article thinks it's a comet.
