My dad's PC's power supply exploded, but the lights and fans keep going, even with no power supply plugged in. It was genuinely freaky. And it refuses to start up, even with a different power supply. I reckon it's either undead, or sentient and plotting.

Maybe your power button's jammed.

Something similar happened to an old computer of mine a long time ago. My sister told me that the monitor exploded as she was using it. We solved the problem by switching monitors.

Once my computer popped up an error that said: "You have been error'd!" It tirned out eventually to be from a weird virus.

If it was jammed, the computer would have turned off right after I turned it on. Instead, it waited for me to get off the computer, and go watch TV, before turning off.

Oh yeah, I remembered something else.

Last time, when most people were still using floppies, I tried to scan one of mine, and guess what? It was infected with the Phantom virus which came from...nowhere!

Your keyboard is not responding. Press any key to continue

<on topic>

Once, whenever I opened something, it wouldn't show up on my taskbar. If I zoomed it down, I would have to Alt+Tab. It turned out to be spyware.

What was that, Varkarrus? I'm having a similar problem. How did you get rid of it?

Do a virus/spyware/adware scan.

I have. Once with Windows Defender and once with SuperAntiSpyware. I'll download some other anti-spyware programs and scan with them, but what did you use, Varkarrus?

Either you got a messed up version of Linux, you messed up somewhere in the settings, or you decided to install the linux boot switcher thing(I think that's what you mean...)

I'm not sure...

Google the problem. Someone wrote a program that worked every time to get rid of it.

My computer at school in the middle of the powerpoint an error message came up and in that freaky robotic computer voice it said "You will not survive, Ha ha ha." and then a few minutes later it did it again and said "Please be gentle" Most of us nearly had a
heart attack. I, however, laughed hystricly.

We think it was one of the techies playing a prank on us (It was, after all, April Fools Day)
