Default "Furries" on American Dad!

I haven't watched episode 4 of Season 4 yet, but on Hulu.com, the main picture contains hairy animals at what appears to be a party with a banner saying "Welcome Furries" on it! Iy yiy yiy yiy yiy...

Oh boy. I bet they're dragging our reputation through the mud like so many others.

I'm pretty sure furries have 'bottomed out' in terms of reputation. At this point making fun of furries is just "beating a dead fox", or raccoon, or whatever other creepy animal people like to dress up as.

So you think foxes and raccoons are creepy?

EDIT: Regarding that other less important part of your post, I actually couldn't care less.

I have to agree, I just watched that clip, and it was kinda funny. It's sad though how many people sink down the Furrydom, though.

It feels like WWII where everyone was taught to not like furries.

No, but I think it's fairly safe to say that dressing up as foxes is. And drawing pictures of foxes mixed with humans? Yeesh!

If Spiderpumpkin gets so "enveloped" in his own reality (brought about by being too immersed in Furry stuff) that he actually wants/tries to become an animal or marry a fox, yeesh indeed. But if he keeps at least a portion of his head on the ground, aight. (Thou should invest time in a real female, SP.)

You're an awesome person, SP, personality wise, but.. uh... have you ever thought of meeting a good psychiatrist?

See, Spiderpumpkin, we're your friends. Your INTERNET friends. That kind of thing... I'm sorry, it's just not NORMAL. We want to HELP you.

A very sensible response!

Oh, and regarding that real female... completely and totally hide the furry stuff. She won't understand, I promise.

Actually, I was planning to marry someone who's a Furry as well :D Or at least likes Furries. Just because I believe common interests are important, not because of some weird Fursuit, uhm, fascination.

That doesn't sound very friendly. Made me laugh, though.

EDIT: Some explanation: I do Furry stuff because it's fun. I am very well capable of thinking on a human level, thank you verrrrry much.

EDIT2: Oh, and I haven't heard of any Furry actually believing that they're an animal or wanting to marry an animal so far, although that is the common stereotype.

Well, that's all well and good. But if that doesn't work out, or if you find out in a few years that furry-dom isn't what it was cracked up to be, you'll probably wish that you never revealed to your "schoolmates/potential girlfriends/anyone at all" that you think that the world of Sonic the Hedgehog is a potential fantasy world for you.

I find the kind of mental image you seem to have of a Furry to be quite disturbing. I blame media.

EDIT: Very true, Kerma. And it's not like we attack anyone or force them to become Furries, yet people seem to want us to not be Furries, for practically no reason aside from probably being jealous that we're having fun and they're not.

Y'know what? I think that SpiderPumpkin/Me/Anyone else in the world (presumably thousands) can believe what we want to believe. We choose to be Furries, so just let us Furries be... Furries.

When did I suggest NOT to be furries? I just suggested to do as others do, and conceal it when in public.

Some wear a human-sized Raccoon suit... some just don't talk about it. Either way, no one knows, and no one gets beat up.

I wasn't just talking about you, but lots of other people as well. Btw, about the "concealing" thing, it's not like I run around and shout "Hello world, I'm a Furry! I'll have you for breakfast" all day. You don't tell random people about your personal life either, don't you?

EDIT: Oh, and this is the internet, where I can say whatever I want, since nobody knows who I am. I might even be Chuck Norris typing this; you can't know, or find out.

No, I was responding to Kerma. (He said "just let us be furries" or something.)

And honestly, I can't think of a long-term outcome of revealing your 'furry' interests to your schoolmates that isn't outrageously negative.

Spiderpumpkin... question. Give me an honest answer.

Are you 'attracted' to humans? I can't explain further than that, but I think you know what I'm talking about.
