Default As I was strolling through the woods....

I stumbled upon the old foundations of a house that has been gone for a long time.

I kept walking and found afew more similar blocks of cement laying around.

Then I found one that had three walls left standing, and a gentle slope down into it. Like a basement kindof, most of it was under the ground.

Anyway, none of that is really important.
I walked around the walls at the top and found a little metal box!

It said "GeoCash, Do Not Remove!" on the outside.
I left it there and continued on walking.

Comments?
Should I go back and see what was in it?
What's GeoCash?
Other questions I could ask but won't....

Someone I know did a website about this. It's an interesting ... I don't want to say "game", but that's all I can think of right now...

Hobby?
Passtime?

I prefer hobby over passtime though....

Anyway, upon examining that site.... There's about four of these in the woods by my house, and about twenty in the woods where I found that one.

I suppose this is an interesting thing, kindof like a hunt for a medallion....
Only easier... Or harder maybe... Seems like you get more clues, as it gives you the GPS coordinates.

If I were you I would've stolen the box and ran away
And I like the ruins of houses, I might have taken a brick and broken the box with it, That'll teach it to cross my path

That would have defeated the whole point of geocaching.

The general rule of thumb is, "If you take an item, leave an item, and write in the logbook." Some caches are themed, so make sure to read the description before going on a hunt.
So, you can go back and open any of those boxes (taking/leaving something or writing in the log book too, if you'd like) and see what's inside, but just leave them where you found them.

Oh joy, I've become one Canadian stamp richer.

I'll go back to the box and put something in it then...
