Default A warning about LG appliances.

Don't buy them. Turns out the refrigerator that's in my house is known to CATCH ON FIRE. Oh, and it's not covered in the warranty. Just great.

Um, don't put highly flammable things behind your fridge?

No, it's a problem with the SIXTY WATT BULBS (TWO) in just the fridge part. Something in the circuit messes up and the lights don't turn off when you close the door. Those lights aren't designed to be kept on for hours. (and the circuit boards aren't under warrenty) In the case that I've heard that the same model that's in my house caught on fire, the store it was bought from (and they got the extended warrenty) said that it was a 'manufacture's defect' and they wouldn't repair/replace it. LG themselves said 'oh, your warranty is expired, we ain't fixing or replacing it'

Edit: okay it seems that it wasn't specifically the model we have, but it's similar, just different door setup /end edit

Also, LG, a good brand? Not recently. LG also stands for 'Lucky Goldstar'.

Search result numbers prove nothing.

Admittedly, there are a lot of people there unhappy about LG fridges, but that just proves they're not very good at making fridges.

I've got an LG fridge, and so far so good. But it doesn't look like it's made your Life Good. *Tomato'd*

Well, it didn't make life good for the person it caught on fire for. Maybe LG is getting their appliances made in Hong Kong.

I thought this thread was going to be about monitors, since I have an LG monitor.

It's a good thing that you don't open monitors like a fridge then, because then the light would be on for hours and your monitor would catch on fire.

Oh, and I don't think that monitors are considered appliances

I wouldn't buy anything branded LG, at least, not for quite a while.

Although appliance isn't the first word I would use to describe a monitor, the definition of appliance is sufficiently broad to include monitors.

And apparently it's also a verb. Meaning "to equip with appliances".

Now I can't help but imagine a knight fighting monsters, with a toaster flail, refrigerator armor, and a tv helmet. Maybe even one of those recalled lamps (the ones that were tall, and had the light open at the top, sorta like this: \_o_/
(the o being the lightbulb, and the other stuff being the lamp)) as a staff or something XD)

...I'm just getting wacky game ideas XD
