I think the Age of Empires series as well as the Command and Conquer name deserve a place on such a list

I haven't heard of over half the games on that list

Also, what's so revolutionary about Oblivion? From what I know it's just a small improvement on Morrowind. Perhaps by "Influential" you really mean "Popular" ?

Definitely Age of Empires, and probably Command and Conquer.

Portal definitely had a major influence on the internet.

I believe at least 1 NFS game should be on the list. And any pinball game should be included, I don't know which, because there are tons of pinball games. Also I would surely include Lemmings!

That's why I'm surprised at Nintendogs being there - what has it influenced? I gather it's the same at the much older games 'Catz' and 'Dogz', which are basically just Tamagotchis. Though wow, Nintendogs sold a lot. I'm quite surprised.

Anyhow, Diablo II & Baldur's Gate will be added. I'll do a little research into roguelikes to see whether Rogue or Nethack should be on there.
I'd say Rogue really needs to be there. Rogue led to Diablo, and Diablo has led to a lot of games. Depending on whether you're including non-computer games, D&D inspired an awful lot too. I wouldn't have any idea which one, but MUDs were basically the first MMOs, so also worth mentioning.

I should have read your first post better. "It's games that were innovative, insanely popular, and\or industry changing", where as I'd assumed only the last one.

Lem-*shot*

Lemmings was insanely popular in the DOS games period. According to Wikipedia, it's thought to be one of the most widely ported games of all time.

*unshoots* Now that you've given convincing evidence, I'll definitely add it.

Street Fighter 2 is already on there, along with Portal. As far as strategy games go, I think Dune II, StarCraft, and Lemmings is enough.

I'm amazed that nobody mentioned Pong. Pong was one of the first video games ever created, and pretty much set the stage for arcade cabnets. Without it, the history of video games would probaly be much different.

Personally, I think that Brain Age should be on the list also, as this game appealled not only to younger generations but to the older generations also, who previously were not big video game players.

Also, this company called Hamumu revolutionized the Dumb Games industry.

Pong is already on there. I'll consider Brain Age.
