Default brain clock

has anyone ever had their sleeping schedule mess up badly? I have, thats the reason why I'm posting at 4AM Jamul time (my time as well). the reason why I called the thread "brain clock"?

Thats because I learned recently that the brain clock is originally a 36 hour clock, which is why babies sleep at odd times. the 24 hour brain clock is a learned behavior and can revert back to its 36 hour form to allow comparing if the conditions are correct... thats enough for the learning section of this post. ('cause knowledge is POWER!)

anyway, has anyone ever screwed up their sleeping schedule badly? if so, please share... actually, pretty much anything related to random facts about the brain can go here. I'm just really bored with nothing to do and wanted to post something.

I haven't, but I am planning to try a 28-hour day week at Christmas or summer. What that basically means, is you don't follow the 24 hour day/night circle, but instead a 28-hour one, where you are awake for 20 hours and sleep for 8, or 19/9, or 18/10, etc. That makes the week become 6-day, and it resets itself on monday. It cannot be done normally due to school/work, and that's why I will try it on a holiday.

and I'm still awake! haven't slept yet.

and I'm pretty sure no matter how your brain clock changes, the actual days remain the same.

Hmm, I have done this, I became nocturnal. It's actually quite easy if you are quiet...

Getting out of it took a while though

yeah, it seems that way. I'm trying to see if caffine will work:

I drink it during the day to stay awake, so I can get tired at night.
