*whistles* what the heck do you have on your computer? Ive got 154GB free of 232 gigs and I could probably take off an extra 10 gigs if need be. Try compressing files, that will free up some gigs.

I have 72 gigabytes free. Just some more full fledged games and BAM, my hard drive is all filled up.

...

Seriously, what did you put in it?

468GB free of 581GB. A big chuck of that can be owed to Maya.

Adding both of my drives:
131.9gb free / 263gb total
C drive is for games and programs, D drive is for pictures music and movies.
One of these days I'll get a couple 2tb drives and be set.
One of these days.

AFAIK, we're getting a couple of those. (@PE)
My mom saw those couple weeks ago, and we got our tax refund so it won't be hard to buy.

Only problem with that particular drive is that it's external, if the PC in question is a desktop it should be fine, if we're talking laptops though, there might be some portability issues (external drives a big, bulky, and usually require a A/C power source). Also, although this depends on how the drive connects to your computer, it probably won't be as fast as a SATA connection most modern internal drives have, so the transfer speed could be a limiting factor.

If you (or someone in the family) isn't afraid to do some work inside the PC, you could look at this internal drive, which has 1.5TB of storage (about 500GB less than the external one previously mentioned), but costs about $50 less and, as its an internal drive, should be a bit faster than the external drive. There is the cloning issue with it as well, but typically internal drives come with software that helps you do that.

EDIT: Just double checked the internal drive I mentioned. It's actually a bare drive, which means that it doesn't come with the software/cables needed for cloning your current drive. It is made by Seagate, however, who offers a download of their hard drive cloning software on their webpage. (Linky) As far as cables go, you should be fine as long as your computer has two hard drive bays (I'm assuming we're talking about a desktop computer here, if not, DON'T get the internal drive as it's a desktop one and won't work with laptops).
