My Number is, in fact, more interesting!
Since creating numbers so big you can't store them in the universe is actually kind of trivial, let's find some interesting numbers.
A number's interestingness is based on the number of properties it has. Let's start with 1: Lowest odd, positive number. Lowest nonprime odd number. Identity for multiplication. Positive Integer. if you want, you can add more properties to previous numbers, providing you can source their existence. note: being 'very large' is not interesting.

12
is in fact a way better base for a number system than ten, owing to it having more factors. is ten plus two I didn't read the first post until after I posted this I'm going to keep adding these until it has a semblance of legitimacy and I'm good.

0.
You can't divide by it, only take limits as things approach it. Is a number (which means it beats infinity) Is arguably the most even number (evenness is usually defined by a number being divisible by two, producing an integer (0 can be divided by two an infinite amount of times and still be even, 2 can only do so once.) Is the same whether it's positive, negative, real or complex. Belongs to the Mandelbrot set, arguably the most famous fractal pattern in the world. Is integral to the operation of many calculus functions. (See what I did there :V) A number to the power of 0 is always one, except for one such number, 0 itself. Is the mass of light, the fastest thing in the universe. The Romans didn't include it in their number system, and look at what happened to them. They are dead now. Clearly 0 is a vindictive number, which will kill you if you cross it. On the subject of crossing 0, zerocrossing is a useful method for finding frequencies in waveform inputs, such as sound on a microphone. Seriously, 0 is the best. I definitely am not being held hostage. You guys should just give up, 0 is definitely the best number. Is that enough?

2^57,885,161 − 1
: The Largest Known Prime : The Largest Mersenne Prime : since 2^57,885,161 − 1 is a mersenne prime it can generate a perfect number like this 2^57885160(2^578851611) Last edited by calthax; 08102014 at 01:45 PM.

Re: My Number is, in fact, more interesting!
Isn't that even, meaning it's divisible by 2, therefor not a prime?

Poor formatting. (2 to the 57,885,161th power) − 1.
