Yerfdog Continuation With BTVSR

Hello everyone.
I though I would make a new thread for Bunny The Vampire Slayer Returns.
I know there is a thread out there in the Dr.Lunatic Forum but I though I would
start from scratch.
And not to snap at people who deny me.
Now for most of you who did not read my early thread,BTVSR is going to be an
Atari 2600 game.
I know that sounds crazy and ambitious but I am going to try to do it.
__________________________________________
BTVSR is based on some of the worlds and levels from Halloween Horror 2.
But there will be a few plot twists and changes.
__________________________________________
Currently I skipped assembler because I didn't have a good background in
programming.
And I am going to try to make an Atari 2600 game in C++.
__________________________________________
So that's what I have to say, more information and plots will be posted but for now...it remains a secret.

Any question and comments are allowed.
(I am not trying to advertise)
(I thought it would be cool to have an Atari 2600 hamumu game)
Pesuading me to stop doing it,won't work.
I am determined to finish this project.

Atari simulator=Atari emulator. Basically what you provided names for.

Also, for future reference there is a Multiquote button on posts(). Click multiquote on the first post you want to quote, then click Quote on the second post you want to quote. It'll quote both posts, so you don't have to post twice (or more, you can multiquote as many posts at once as you want)

I am curious if you have made much progress since last time your brought this up? Or if it is still mostly conceptual.

Well its no longer conceptual now. I know I prommised to release this game by october
of last year but I got caught up with the HH13 craze.
And it was much harder than I thought to learn a programming language in jst one month.
So as you see,I didn't really get around to do some actual programming.
But now I am going to actually do some programming.

Cool Re: Continuation With BTVSR

PROGRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well sort of,but it's still progress...

Here is a screenshot of a small demo I made.

If you want to,you can download the files...
Linky
(works with the Stella emulator)

COMMUNITY:So,how did you feel when doing this?

REACTOR:It was difficult,but I managed.
COMMUNITY:How long did it take you to finish this?
REACTOR:30 minutes,if you don't include my bashing at the keyboard.
COMMUNITY:What do you mean?
REACTOR:Well I was trying to add a nice background, some animation for
walking, and trying to add a move and shoot event. It took me a bit of time,
but at the end my program gathered up so many errors that I just thought
I would do one thing and try the other stuff on another day.
COMMUNITY:We see.
REACTOR:If you have anymore questions about the demo like "source code"
or anything else, feel free to ask.

Since I'm taking a weekend break from world building, I thought I would try to get some programming done.

Here is a chart of what I'm trying to do.

Main Menu : Load Option, Profile Option, Credits Pop Up, Lightning with warp animation.

Level: I'm going to try to program a level with bunny and 3 vampires, there will be usual stuff you find in modern games like inventories and that sort of stuff.
I'll be using the HH-2bp tileset for the first level.
Of course I'll have to try to replicate the graphics for the Atari 2600 which I think will be no trivial task but it's worth a try.

Going off topic a bit, does anybody know where to get these 2 games for the Atari 2600:

AD&D Treasure of Tarmin
AD&D Tower of Mystery

Well I would say I'm slowly getting there.

The assembler way is truly superior to doing it on BatariBasic. I mean, look at all those small pixels and how it's structured!

Well I'm thinking of making BTVSR into a text-adventure game. It's going to be way-to-complicated if I were to go on to make it into a full Atari 2600 game.

The current Atari 2600 alpha version for BTVSR will be released in March.

Well, it looks like I will have to scrap this project. In the end, I think it required too much work and right now I have to study to get into university. Project has come to an end! Also, I apologise for snapping at you people in the previous thread. It was wrong of me and I was simply immature. If anyone would like to, they can try to develop this idea to an actual game. No rights are reserved for this.
