Question An Out Of The Blue Question?

Are the worms that are used as bait for fishing removed from the fish before they are sent to markets or whatever?

Thumbs up

Yeah, worms and other small baits are generally only used for recreational fishing. Even then, fish are typically gutted before being sold, with the stomach and its contents removed.

And in a world where there is a fish that is sold whole that was caught using bait: probably not.

Thank you for all your replies! They were very helpful. I'm asking in the first place because I am doing the writing for a comic book and I want to be sure that my facts are correct.

My sister will be doing the illustrating, though she will be using an anime style which I think will really jar with the Greek setting, but I must go along with it as it's the artist's preference. Although the story might not be as profound as other comic books, it's the first time we are trying it out. My family suggested it in the first place as a way to vent our artistic talents into a real product.
