because if your world is playable on the lunatic difficulty, then it will be too easy in the others

That's sorta true... I wouldn't ever play on Lunatic for any reason except to get a high score on a level where it's possible to survive on Lunatic. But hey, if you're good enough to make it through a Lunatic level alive, it would be nice to know that it works on that difficulty (no real reason why it shouldn't, though, if it works on the others). Anyway, you wouldn't be checking for a 'fair' level on Lunatic. You'd just be making sure it works. You want the level to be reasonable on Normal, tough but possible on Hard, and barely possible on Lunatic.

I seriously doubt WTG plays on Lunatic, besides the fact that it would make testing take longer!

There are triggers that allow the builder to change how the level works based on the difficulty level that the player is playing at. If that trigger is used in a level, it is essential that that level is tested playing at that level of difficulty. If that particular trigger is not used, then it probably isn't necessary to test at all levels.

That is also true, and anyone who uses that feature needs to inform WTG! I can tell you without even asking him that he doesn't test on Lunatic normally.

As long as it works, there's no reason he shouldn't.

He PLAYS THE WORLD. That's the answer. How can that even be a question? How do you know how long it takes to walk from one place to another? You go there!

All you have to do is play the world from start to finish. If you can do that without using any cheats, and without being totally bored, horrified by ugliness, or dying 100 times on one level, then it is good. You will also need to consider alternate paths - like one of the MM13 levels could only be won if you collected the keys in a certain order. You have to make sure that if people decide to do things differently, the level is still possible (or at least doesn't break in a bad way - it's okay if your level can reach an uncompletable state, that's what the retry button is for. It's much better if it handles that situation though). Everything you created must be tested. If you have 3 paths through the level, you have to play them all.

There's no tricks to any of it, just playing everything and making sure nothing wrong happens.

No, those songs are part of LL2, people have to buy LL2 to enjoy them. The tiles, I will probably make available for use. But no using them until I do!

Nuts, I already grabbed a LL2 tile for a SWC world. How will I know when it's OK to use it? I plan to make a message telling people to buy LL2, if that helps.
