Default Favourite Books

You knew it was coming. Probably. Plus, with favourite spelt the English way!

Anyway, mine have to be firstly the Mortal Engines Series. They roxxor.
Then Holes, Hoot, and anything by Terry Pratchett and nearly anything by Anthony Hopkins.
Oh, and the His Dark Materials trilogy, by Philip Pullman. Pity the film is named wrongly 'The Golden Compass' instead of 'Northern Lights'. Bah.

Anyway, yours?

Hmm... let's see...
The Lord of the Rings is of course great for the most part, though the books have some very boring (imo) passages -o_-o
The Neverending Story (or rather, "Die Unendliche Geschichte", as I was of course reading the unaltered German version) is great, quite possibly the best book I've ever read. The films really don't do the book justice -o_-o
The Oz book series is also great, every single book (although The Patchwork Girl of Oz would have to be my favourite :D)
Erm... that's about it, I guess. I've read a lot of books, most of which were a fun read, but these are pretty much the only ones I would really refer to as 'favourites'.

EDIT: Also, Gophirith of the Mountains XD I know I wrote that story myself, but I like it a lot :D

My taste in books is a little strange. I like The Series of Unfortunate Events, old Calvin and Hobbes' comics, and comic books in general. (I buy Shonen Jump whenever I can)

Northern Lights is for silly Brits. The American version of the book is called The Golden Compass.

There's a lot of good books- It's hard to narrow down. 1984 is a good one.

And, of course, is by a 'silly Brit'.
But you're right - there are way too many good books in the world to pick a favourite. (Then again, I'd have the same problem picking the worst one!)

I am a Harry Potter fan, but I am also a teacher and teach it in my English class.

I did not care for His Dark Materials (Golden Compass is book one) nor did I like the Unfortunate Events series (just did not like the way it ended)

I am currently reading Come on People by Bill Cosby and it is very good.

I did like the vampire series by Darren Shan.

I also like the PostSecret book. The book where people sent in their deepest secret on a postcard and the guy put them all in a book. Very weird.

I've heard the book is okay (I haven't read it myself), but I've only seen the movie, and I've have to agree with you about it.

I like Micheal Crichton books, too! Hooray for Jurassic Park!
