Default 0 out of 0

Should 0 completed out of 0 to complete be 100% completed or 0%? Argue with mathematical or logical proof here!

There is nothing to complete; the question is nonsensical.

That is the point of the question- should nothing out of nothing be 100%? Because 1 out of 1 is, and 2 out of 2, and 3 out of 3, and so on.

Logically, 0/0 is an undefined concept, as any value would make the equation 0/0 = x true. There is a famous paradox proposed by Zeno asking about the instantaneous velocity of an object, as the distance is 0 and the time is 0, making the rate 0/0. The rate at which an object is moving can change, so therefore 0/0 has many different values. These can be computed using calculus, but with no constraints, 0/0 is undefined. Therefore, it is both 0% and 100%. There should be more answer choices.

For practical purposes such as a game, I would suggest 100% so things like "Average percentage of X found in all levels" won't be brought down by levels with none of X.

In Supreme, If a world has no levels that can be completed and you've completed none of them, that's 0%.

That's because you're missing the keychains and loonykey. If the world has no levels and you have all that maybe it goes to 100%

In my opinion there is no answer but I voted for 0%. I think that because: 4/5=80% because 100/5=20 and 20*4=80 (%). And 0/0 is 100/0=ERROR. So it's an error. Can't divide anything by 0. It's just my opinion. But since there wasn't a choice for: Doesn't exist, so I voted for 0% which is nothing! It's just my opinion!

0/0 can be 0, 1, or infinity. So it's bothy 0% and 100% at the same time.

You can't vote on math. Mathematical answers are absolute, not majority rules. In order to save people from voting incorrectly, I have added the correct answer to the poll, and, of course, I have voted for it.

Pratical answers are, however. Also, Supreme probably shows 0% because Jamul has done some bug-catching so that the total number of levels can be less than 0.

0/0 is on its own undefined, without any other constraints. However, that is what derivatives are designed to find. Instantaneous velocity, for example. You move 0 feet in 0 seconds. Therefore, your rate is 0/0. However, given your rates at times infinitely close to the instant in question, you can determine what 0/0 is, for any specific case.

I'd guess it's simply a matter that the % complete is calculated when you win a level. If there are no winnable levels, it is never calculated, and remains at the default - 0%.
