Yerfdog Mansion T&T Game Role Updates

Here is where I'm posting the roles for my upcoming game, so people can comment about them. Here is the first role all players will get. It's basically your normal card. In my game, you can find classes, rather then having to choose from them at the start. You can switch between classes at any time, (Not during battle, of course) but you lose half of your energy, and your health stays the same. Every time you get hit, your Fear gauge goes up. When it reaches it's max, you can choose a 2nd attack that turn, which is not only double power, but is piercing. However, it fills up very slowly.

Heh heh, that's an interesting set-up. I'd limit the players from having multiples of the same class, though (like the team getting 6 Pyromancers or something).

Classes are found in a limited quantity, as Sillyman said. Also, XP points stay in their respective classes, even if you switch between people using them.

i.e. Bob gets 5 XP as a human, he transforms into a Curamancer, gains 10 XP, then switches back to a human. He still only has the 5XP that he earned earlier. However, if someone else transforms into a Curamancer, they get the 10 XP that the other player got before. Human XP points cannot be traded, since everyone has their own human class.

Three new classes! The main healer:



A healer, hider, attacker that can only help others by sacrificing HP.



This is what happens if you go too long without reviving a dead player.



The dead player can be revived only after you kill them. Yes, I am aware that made no sense.

Comments about fairness, looks, etc. are appreciated.

So the XP stays in the staff, eh? Methinks a fraction of earned XP should be added to the Human class, and a fraction of Human XP should be usable from other classes. That way, there is their training and the staff's power working together.

I may be wrong, but pain split looks like its helping the enemy more then you.

If your taking a single health unit from an enemy, and adding it with your own health, then sharing equally, unless you also have one health, the enemy will gain health and you will lose health...?

Here's an example:

Player has 5 HP
Monster has 9 HP

Player Uses Pain Split
5+9=14
Player and Monster get 7 HP back. Player Healed. Monster lost health.

It doesn't really matter, because I replaced it with one of my other move ideas. It's insanely powerful against monsters with high HP, and useless against monsters with low HP. I mainly only included Pain Split because it was a last minute idea that sounded cool. The new card:



As for the reason to stay in the Human class, it's the easiest way to gain energy, and then switch to a class. You can only gain energy during battles, of course. There is also chance to fight monster intentionally, but that's all I'm going to say for now.

About Sillyman's XP idea, I'm considering it.

Now I dont understand how THAT move works... you LOSE damage, to DO damage? Thats not very sacrificial at all!

It means you take X less damage that turn and do that much damage!

I choose to Lose Infinity Damage, and Do Infinity damage!

Im obviously incorrect, or that would be insanely pwoerful, but could you clarify what it DOES mean?

Three new roles!



This role cannot attack on it's own. It can only manipulate monsters.



This role is dependent on it's barrier. When it's gone, it's even weaker then a normal human... (Because it can't attack!) Shield Strike alway does half it's total current health. Expand is permanent.



This will be available as a super SEKRIT prize. It can learn up to four moves from any enemy. (Even bosses!) All you have to do is pick them at any time. You can also choose what it looks like, when you earn it. However, as it's power goes up, it's HP goes down...



This isn't a role. It's the different colour patterns you can choose for the Customancer. You can choose as many as you want, and they can go wherever you want. On a semi-related note, you can also pick what weapon it has. (Staff, Shield, Tennis Racket, anything!)

If you have any questions, or would like to point out something that you like/don't like, don't hesitate to tell me.

P.S. Yes, I'm likely just going to put the theme/power, and then Mancer as the title. I'm not going for clever here...

I dont understand the barriermancers color change move. it has a bunch of different colors, arranged hap-hazardly, and I cant tell what color does what/

I like the Barriermancer's force field. I hope Customancer's balanced, though- It looks interesting, but I'm not sure if it would work well if you let it steal boss moves.

Red - Attack
Blue - Heal
Green - Hide User
Gray - Random (When you switch classes, this is the one you start with)

I tried to arrange it better, but the text would have been super small.

The New Classes: (There's supposed to be three, but one I uploaded was horribly blurry, so I'll have to try again later)



Sort of like Coolguy's Time Class. This class can attack in the past and future, but not in the present.



This class can give buffs to allies. As you level up, they last longer.

If you have any questions or comments about these roles, or any of the others, please post them. If I can think of more ideas, I might make one or two more classes, (Aside from the one I'm going to add later) but I'm pretty much done with them. From now on, I'll likely be posting Monster Cards, or other bits of my dungeon, such as the story, gameplay mechanics, etc.
