If it isn't, then we have 11 planets in our solar system.

Pluto is a dog. As for the celestial body, I always rather liked the idea of Pluto as a planet, even though it probably shouldn't be one. Meh.

EDIT: Ah, it says dwarf planet. That it definitely is.

Pluto should be a dwarf planet because otherwise there would be way too many planets lolxorxtriage.

Pluto, you will always be a planet to me.

From out here, it's the rest of the world that looks so small. Promise me you will always remember who you are!

In this modern day and age, we should know better than to discriminate against inanimate objects!

pluto is an object from the kuiper belt that was pulled further in from neptunes gravity. it is in no way a type of planet.

A dwarf planet isn't exactly "a type of planet", you know. :P

The IAU currently recognizes only three dwarf planets – Ceres, Pluto, and Eris – but it is suspected that at least another 42 discovered objects in the Solar System might belong in this category.
So, contrary to popular belief, a dwarf planet is not a small planet :P

From now on, I shall endeavour to refer to our dwarf-planet friend as 'Sleepy'. Or maybe Sneezy or Dopey...

I once saw the size of Pluto compared with the size of the United States, and Pluto would fit nicely inside of it! Even our moon is bigger! Pluto=Too puny to be a planet.

Pluto isn't even really that much of a planet... If I remember well it's just a small sphere of ice

Well, if we do ever run out of water on Earth, we can just create a giant, warm straw to Pluto, and drink that. Alternatively, we could colonize it and just have one huge continuous snow day there.

That's really all I have to say on the subject, honestly.
