Default Champions 2!

(Yeah, the game needed a name, so I just picked Champions, because a certain TV show stole my other name candidate. If you're looking for the first one, it's right here, where Sir Blastobutter42 took over the world with his warrior powers.)

This game will be run the same as the other one, but with the following changes:

1) Re-balanced characters (although change #4 will probably undo this)
2) More players to make running away less easy and have more death and destruction! 10 players this time around, instead of 6. Also, when players are randomly placed at the game's beginning, the round will begin on Move Round so the person who lands in between two melee characters can run awaaaaay!
3) Move and Action phases are separate. This will make the game last longer, but be less annoying for melee-type folks trying to guess where everybody is (so I don't have to give melee characters so many speed powers).
4) Biggest change! Players can pick a character class name when signing up to get a unique character. This will probably throw off the balance, but make things more interesting...

To sign up, just post something like this:

Character Name: Usually just your forum name, but you can name your character something special.
Class: Pick a one-word noun to be a character! This lets you get a unique character. Note that the word must be some sort of job; You can't have ''Walrus'', ''Vampire'', ''Bouapha'', ''Orc'', etc as character classes, but you can have ''Janitor'', ''Paladin'', ''Butler'', ''Zookeeper'', etc. Note that you just pick the name; I pick everything else, or else there'd be no chance of balance at all!!! No picking identical/super-similar characters as other people, and you can use character classes from the first game. Finally, these won't be official characters for future games!!! (unless they're super-interesting or something)
Color: Pick a character color, like red or blue. No using colors too similar to other people, and no colors too bright to be read.

Post updated- Half of the game slots are gone, so 5 left!

People with overly long class names got the names shortened (laser cheese grater -> Grater, druidthingy -> Druid).

Roland, purple is already taken! Megadog, black is already taken (by Julian!)!

Megadog, Julian, and Roland haven't read the rules about classes very well - They have to be a ''job'', in that any human can be one if they have the skills for it (so no gods, dogs, or adjectives). BlastoButter42's character is actually a guy wielding a killer cheese grater, by the way, not a real cheese grater (if that's what you were thinking of when selecting completely random things as classes).

Cards finished so far:

No One's card: The Wanderer!



The Wanderer is a class that fights at near range, and is most effective when keeping its resources LOW.

The Wanderer cannot use a move if it would cause him to get over 5 or less than 0 Poverty, or else he'd be able to dumpster-dive over and over. Also, sorry, Cheeselord, but when I thought of Wanderers, the only interesting thing I could think of was either Diablo II's dark wanderer or a random vagrant, and I decided on the second.

Sillyman's card: The Chaosopher!



Chaosophers have complete knowledge of the inner workings of chaos theory; They're so good at it that they can see patterns and chain reactions, and use these to their advantage. While Chaosophers are normally weak, they can hit tons of players if they're within a certain range of one another, because the Chaosopher's moves chain off hitting many players at once! Unfortunately, the Chaosopher, unlike other classes, has a minimum range in addition to a maximum range.

Connor S' card: The Druid!



The Druid, like the Wizard, uses mana. However, instead of being a weak ranged spellcaster, the Druid is a defensive short-ranged spellcaster! The druid is great a healing, but very weak in terms of offensive power.

SpaceManiac's card: The Programmer!



The Programmer, like any other modern-day computer hobbyist, has to constantly upgrade his software in order to keep up. The power of the Programmer lies in upgrading himself to FINAL ULTIMATE PROGRAMMING POWER! So he's like the PWNZOR robot.

Rolando Bloom's card: The Hamumian!



The Hamumian uses a resource system like the one in Magic: The Gathering; He can use as many moves as he wants, as long as he can afford the DP for each one, plus, for hte move Marshmallow Headbutt, he also has to invest some more DP to actually do damage! The true power of the Hamumian lies in the ability to use Dumbness Conversion on players, so the Hamumian generates extra DP. As long as the converts don't die, the Hamumian can also get to FINAL ULTIMATE POWER! And, if he gets lots of DP, then he can start affording to start an army of enslaved converts and become even more final, ultimate, and powerful!

Also, note that people hit by Dumbness Conversion aren't really ''converted''; They're still the Hamumian's enemies. They just have an effect on them that generates DP for the Hamumian and lets the Hamumian truly convert them.

Also, this card has a move that lets the user move 3 spaces, and then attack, sort of like the warrior's Sprint. I'm going to clarify something here: Any attack aimed at where you are at the beginning of the round (before using the attack that lets you moe) or where you were after moving will hit you!

The other custom cards (Terrorist, Crusher, and Grater) are harder to come up with interesting ways to fight, so I'll be posting them later when they're done. In the mean time, you can try to point out anything wrong with balance right now, so I can fix them before the game starts!

By the way, it's too late to change roles right now!!! Megadog has randomly been given the Ranger and Hyperme is given the Rogue since ninjas=rogues. I'll be posting balanced versions of those later when I post the next half of roles.

So the Chaosopher doesn't have any regular move-limiting resource? If I'm reading it correctly, he can cast something every turn as long as a target is within range. Because of the minimum range, that might not be very often, but we have 10 players here, and if more than one happen to be within his range he gets to damage them all (up to the limit), and then next turn he can do it again, as many times as he wants! Seems to me like he's incredibly powerful.

It can't chain at the same person twice, you know! I should've mentioned that...

He is powerful in the beginning, though, but as the player population dwindles, he'll become much weaker. However, I do agree that he is probably a bit too powerful now. (mostly because his 4-damage attack should probably be nerfed down to 3 damage or so with only 3 max chain) Plus Order from Chaos shouldn't give a Hide effect!
