Default Indie Games

Heyas. I have no clue how many of you guys pay much attention to the indie video game scene, but what other indie games do you guys play?

The main indie developers I've been particularly fond of besides Hamumu Software are Nifflas and Studio Pixel.

I'm pretty involved in the indie game scene, considering that I'm an indie game developer myself.

Developers whose Games I play:
Creative Games (The startup that I run)
Bungie (Halo series)
GarageGames (Marble Blast Ultra)
id Software (Doom, Quake)
PopCap Games (Bejeweled, Heavy Weapon)

I didn't know Bungie used to be an indie developer. At the same time, I'm not surprised.
Marble Blast Ultra is teh stuff. But I honestly recommend Cave Story and Knytt Stories. WaDF (also by Nifflas) is also a fun game.

Here's some assorted links for throat-cramming:
http://nifflas.ni2.se/ Nifflas' page
www.cavestory.org Good Cave Story fansite
www.nicalis.com/blog Dev. Blog for CS Remake

As long as stuff is on the PC, feel free to show me the indie games you like too. / _ \

For action games, there's Noitu Love, a platformer that's basically a huge NES homage. The sequel is a big love letter to Treasure games, with 2 unlockable characters to play as.

There's also Jets N' Guns, a side-scrolling shoot-em-up with an awesome shop system, 20-40 something levels, depending on the version you buy, and a rockin' metal soundtrack.

Before they became more corporate under the name 3D Realms (they made Duke 3D, Prey, and Max Payne) , they were Apogee, an indy game known for both publishing and developing tons of awesome DOS games. They made games like the first 2 Duke Nukems (they were 2D), Rise of the Triad, and Monster Bash. They also published Commander Keen and Wolfenstien 3D, who were developed by ID Software.

Sorry. I just get REALLY nerdy over DOS games.

Hmm... I remember there was a thread like this some time ago. Meh.

Anyway, I was gonna mention Nifflas, but Cheeseman already did :P
The only other awesome indie games I can think of atm that haven't been mentioned yet are Glace, Fraxy, Zooom and Cactus Bruce and the Corporate Monkeys. Actually, the Eggbert/Blupi games might be indie as well, though I'm not sure. And also Crazy Drake, which I'm fairly certain is indie.

Oh, and Ricochet Infinity deserves a mention here; it's break-out, basically, but with lots of cool stuff added like moving bricks and new paddles that can be unlocked by using the ball to collect bonus rings in the levels.

I've played and beaten Glace. I've briefly played Crazy Drake, if I'm thinking of the right game. Oooh! Ricochet! I used to have it but then that computer died. It wasn't Richochet Infinity though. It was Lost Worlds that I owned.

7 Minutes: I've beaten the good and bad ending, and it's like IWBTG but timed. Warning: Creepy.

You Have To Burn The Rope: Don't get me started. You MUST play this game unless You can't hear the "D" word. Then don't.

Syobon-Action: An evil game where you are a cat travelling through 4 mario stages. The text is in japanese, but the only instuctions you need (Press Enter at start) are easy to read. THE LINKIf you speak japanese and find offensive or bad words, I'm sorry. I don't speak japanese or have the text pack.
