Default Have you ever seen a spirit?

It all started when I was 6 years old. I was walking around outside with my best friend LoonyBoy in the evening trying to find fossils. When we walked near my shed there was a grey smokey-like figure standing there. We started running and crying cause we was scared to death! I told my mom about it and made her go outside with us to see if it was still there. But when we got out there it was gone. I will never forget that moment of fear when we saw the smokey figure. I wonder if Loony still remembers it?

It's always "you see it and you scream to someone else and show them but it's not there anymore" stuff.
And no, I've never seen.

There no such as things as spirits, ya crazies. :P

But, one time I heard a mouse scratching on the walls at my house. That was pretty scary.

A lasagna ghost would be awesome. But wait... You can't eat a ghost... Aw... Why do ghosts have to be so crafty?

Once every night at my house from around 12:00 - 4:00 AM, there's the sound of someone walking up our stairs to the kitchen. It used to really scare me, because I thought someone was in the house, but now I'm just used to it.

That's not the only creepy thing in my house. There's a groove in our cement basement floor, but it's covered by a dirty plank of wood with nails holding it. I've thought about unscrewing it and looking to see what was there, but I've decided against it.

The final thing is, normally my cats are quiet and docile, but sometimes they have a howling fit in the basement, and then they rocket upstairs to the farthest corner of my house. Afterwards, they act paranoid for a while, jumping or running away from anything the slightest bit unusual.

Whether it's a ghost or not, my house is a little strange. But, I've grown up here, and I can't imagine living anywhere else. I do believe in ghosts, but I don't know how or why they are what they are.

I sometimes see "people" doing things. One time, a girl had a basket of flowers. Then She looked at my, smiled a creepy grin, and vanished. The grin wasn't scary or evil or anything, it just looked a little weird. And for some reason I keep seeing a dude in roller blades. He keeps zooming past at insane speeds, and smiling at me occasionally. It's comforting when he smiles at me though. I'm don't think they're spirits; hallucinations, maybe, I don't know.

I bet it's a picture of Rick Astley.

I haven't ever seen any ''paranormal activity'' in my life, so I can't say that I believe in ghosts.

I just realized how this could be misinterpreted. Im not at all trying to imply that Im a spirit, but whenever I look in the mirror, theres this dark hazy shape behind one of my shoulders, but when I turn around, it isn`t there. Furthermore, when someone else is also looking at the mirror, they can still see the shape over my shoulder, and it doesnt matter what mirror it is, its universal.

EDIT: Actually, I am completely trying to imply that Im a spirit.

EDIT: The above edit is untrue.

Of course spirits are real. Whether or not you can perceive them depends on your state of consciousness. Sometimes the veil between the worlds can be a little thin in places, and we can see through. How we perceive what is there depends on our psyches; it could be ghosts, aliens, faeries, or monsters like Mothman. You can also go looking for spirits via electronic voice phenomena, luigi boards and the like, but I highly recommend not doing so.

I have lost count of the ghosts I have perceived over the years. But I don't expect anyone else to believe anything I say. Nor can I prove a thing. It all depends on your state of consciousness.

I quite agree with you, but I'm guessing our reasons are different. Why do you say so?

It is never worth the trouble. A lot can go wrong. The kinds of spirits that try to communicate with humans in that manner are essentially riffraff, the dregs of the afterlife. No respectable spirit would interfere in such a potentially disastrous manner (possibly causing insanity, etc.) in a human's state of consciousness like that.

There are more respectable and safe means for talking to people in the other worlds. If you have a spiritual guide, (like Jesus, for example, or Buddha, whatever), someone you trust, ask him (or her) to let you speak to someone in the other world. This is a safer method for, say, talking to recently departed loved ones. If it doesn't work, at least it won't drive you insane.

Cameras and microphones do not have any consciousness.
