Exclamation Recent Paypal Scam?

A couple weeks ago I got an email from paypal saying that they needed a credit card number to confirm my identity or else my account would be locked. In the email was a link to "logon to paypal and register your credit card information". Before the page even loaded I knew it was a scam- the site wasn't a secure (https) server and the site wasn't paypal but spacejunk. (Plus my bank account was already registered with paypal, so why would I need to give them a credit card too?). Has anybody else received this email?

That's evil. I hope they are shut down soon, and that they didn't get anyone.

I should start hacking every phishing site I find to make it redirect to the real website. It'd be hilarious.

Or I could replace all the content with something like "You actually believed that email? What an IDIOT!"

I actually barely get any phishing emails - just a lot of stuff about...medication.

You know the kind of medication I mean. I'm trying to keep this post here from breaking any rules, but...

I now get zero spam! My provider is Rogers cable, and they use Yahoo, so there is a very effective spam filter on it. What a difference from the days when ninety per cent plus of my email was spam.

I didn't get an e-mail like this one but I got one which said that I had won 500000 US Dollars I didn't believe it and ignored it but after that the guy started annoying me by sending me E-mails over and over again so I E-mailed him back telling him to stop the joke after that I didn't get an e-mail from him again.

That's wrong! I hope the spammers get sued for everything they've got and thrown in jail. People shouldn't be trying to get other people's money and stuff!

10,000,000 emails x 0.1% chance someone gives you money = 10,000 monies.

I tend to get a lot of phishing emails featuring banks I don't have an account with.

Weirdest email I've got recently was a bill from United Airlines: "Your credit card has been charged for $923.72." It had a suspicious-looking attachment which I'm surprised AVG didn't pick-up.

For some reason, neopets, jibjab and clubpenguin keep sending me emails and calling me "doubaief". Also, those emails are horrible. I don't even have a credit card! (Yes, I got one.) Also, I recently got this email: Dear [name removed], My name is MR. UEMATS KUNI,a contractor from Japan. The statistics shows that the Economy of your country is getting better and will be more profitable in few years to come. I do hereby wish to let you know that I am interested to invest in your country through you. I am in HONG KONG at the moment with the Sum of Sixteen Million, five Hundred Thousand US Dollars ($16,500.000.00) that I would like to invest in your country if possible.I made this money through a contract awarded to me in OSAKA by the ministry during the relocation of OSAKA AIRPORT,and I am not safe if I should go back to Japan because I did not finish the contract. I hope you can understand my situation and assist me to invest this money properly as this is my only hope. Please kindly get back to me as soon as possible if you can assist me. Best regards,
MR. UEMATS KUNI

Somebody recently sent me an e-mail like this, although I have no idea what's so suspicious about it. Mr. Asdjlzchjnpw Vcxvmnbeklxcnvk sounds very reliable to me.

I got an e-mail entitled "Hey Varakus Kowe!"

Inside was a message from a person I didn't know who claimed to be my friend from school asking if he could borrow 4,000$.
