OK, I believe that is asking too much from a poor little squid eating, french fry stealing, walking, grocery eating, peanut butter liking, kissing octupus. Well....... um...., maybe it isn't. May I be struck by lightning if I'm wrong

I sometimes suspect that she can read, although it is hard to tell if she is just being helpful by holding up the newspaper for other people to read. Sometimes it's hard to tell which direction her eyes are looking. I am also not sure if she is watching television or just changing the channels with the remote and seeing what the reactions of the humans in the room are.

How would she know what she's watching? Even if she could read, I highly doubt she understands human culture, I'd say it's more likely the second of each.

well U must freak out easily. She's just an octopus in an oversized aquarium who can stretch her tenticles 2 reach NEthing in the house, gives kisses, goes on walks, does the groceries, eats shrimp, &, if I'm wrong, understands human culture, what's so freaky about that?!

[/sarcasm] Yeah, what is so freaky about that? [/sarcasm]
You're kidding right, I don't freak out easily and I was just joking, I didn't actually freak out, but an octupus like that is indeed weird. BTW How big is your living room Uber?

It's about ten by twenty feet. Cuddleyum's aquarium fills most of one wall. When you're sitting on the couch, watching TV you have your back to her aquarium, so it is easy for her to reach a tentacle behind you and steal the remote if you're not paying attention. Fortunately we have a waterproof remote, because otherwise she wouldn't be able to change the channels from underwater. Sometimes you hear bubbles gurgling up in her tank with sort of giggling sounds in them. It's a very strange sound, but it makes me think that either TV or something else is amusing her. She likes soap operas too, especially ones involving the sea.

Add smilies when you're joking, TyTBone told me that, before that I used to joke without smilies and people thought I was being serious.
