Google's made a plugin for Internet Explorer that lets it use Chrome's faster rendering engine. Rather cheeky of them really.

i think we should stop forcing our oppinions on others, for some people IE may run faster, and for others FF may run faster, so enough with telling everyone the browser they prefer is horrible.

now because my first post wasn't serious at all,

Personally, i prefer Firefox over IE, it runs faster (for me) and i like its style

But IE is objectivly worse at rendering than any of it's competition.

Let's see.

I've never tried Chrome or Opera, but IE ran really sluggishly and crashed constantly, along with a glitch that caused it to persistently open up the same window over and over. I've had no issues with Firefox except for an easy-to-fix glitch that causes bookmarks not to appear and the back button to malfunction (if you get this glitch, Ctrl+Alt+Del then go to "Processes" and end Firefox.exe.) So, Firefox FTW.

I agree. "Fixing" someone else's post just doesn't seem right. Make your own, or just say you disagree, but don't mess with theirs!

I don't like Safari. The interface is annoying, and it always runs slowly on my computer. Go Chrome!
EDIT: Oh, and Chrome has themes now!

Well Explorer has always worked much better (not necessarily faster, but better, yes) on my PC as compared to Firefox, so IE has my vote. But in all fairness, the Firefox logo is insanely much more awesome than IE's logo, 'flaming fox of death' indeed

Firefox is still better, no matter how many cows you put in your scooter. Because I said so.

Well, firefox has failed to open this morning. Not quite sure what's up with that, but I'm back to IE.

I'll give an example of why Firefox is better for me. I have two computers. One works very quickly normally. (Without internet stuff involved) One works moderately normally. (Not bad, but not great ether) One computer has Internet Explorer 8, and one computer has Firefox. As it turns out, the quick and useful computer has a very slow and clunky browser. This, being Internet Explorer 8. The other computer which is moderate and sometimes laggy has a quick and efficient browser. This being Firefox. My point is, if a browser acts great on a laggy and slow computer, then it is obviously better then a slow, laggy browser that works on a fast, able computer. In other words, Firefox pwns.

Of course, this is through my own experience, so other people may have other opinions.

Summary: If you have dial up, get firefox. If you like IE8, then your just Xenophobic AKA Afraid of things you don't or can't understand.

I have voted for Firefox.

I can't use Internet Explorer at this point in time because only my MacBook is hooked to my Internet connection.

Firefox is very customisable, but when you start to install add-ons to it (AdBlockPlus, ChatZilla, BBCodeXtra, GreaseMonkey and so on), it becomes almost as slow as Internet Explorer. In addition, Flash applets do not work well in Firefox and slows it down by a lot.

As far as I know, the only thing that Internet Explorer has that Firefox doesn't is a better ability to run Flash applets.
