Oh, a note - Giving an "image" input a value doesn't always work - "image" inputs work like special "submit" inputs. Google Chrome doesn't pass the value in, only the "del_i_x" and "del_i_y" parameters (since the base is "del_i"). I don't know if IE does, but Firefox does - thus why you may have been confused.

That or it's completely broken

EDIT: yeah, broken - doesn't work in Firefox either. However you do still need to worry about the "value" thing, I tried that once and it didn't work as I expected. Use a "hidden" input instead.

I must be honest that it took me ages to work out what on earth you're saying. XD But yeah, should have tested that really. I'll fix it now.

EDIT: OH! So that's what you meant by the _x and _y things! Hmmm. Yeah, fixed it now.

You could try compressing the file first. If you're using a reasonably recent version of Windows you can right click on the file -> send to -> compressed (zipped) folder.

But yeah, I did change some settings a while back to supposedly allow 16MB, but I never tested it, so 10 or 12MB may well be the limit.

Get yourself some free hosting space! http://awardspace.com is one you can use, there are others... Also, get a http://co.cc domain and set the DNS to your awardspace account, and you've got a professional sounding domain with hosting all for free!

EDIT: Just saying this now: This post is not meant to drag business away from Hamupload in any way, I'm just saying that people who make games or other things (like edit photos) are going to want a specialized site for it. They can still use Hamupload for anything they want, and in most cases it would be preferable to using their own space, but for people who develop their own product, they should have their own dedicated hosting space for it.

Don't know if it's Hamupload or my computer being silly, but since yesterday i can't download .exe files, when it goes to save the file, instead of a .exe, it's a
"application/octet-stream"
which i have no way of oppening. once again, it migh just be my computer, since it's been acting up as of late, but i thought I'd put it out there.

I guess I could get it to add the file extension on... I'll add it to my (rapidly expanding) TODO list.

It's because there's spaces in the file name. When downloading, it ignores everything after the first space.

Yeah, things defaulted to .htm which makes them output their contents on the page too. I'm currently rewriting Hamupload, and I'm going to add a drop-down when you upload, to select what file type it is (or you can leave it to auto-detect as it does now). That should stop some issues.

Hamupload is likely to go down soon. I'm not sure exactly when, but it will. I've set up a computer that I'll be using, in part, as a web server, and my NFSN money is running low, so it'll be pretty soon.

So just don't be too surprised when it stops working. Hopefully I'll be able to get my server working pretty soon, but all existing links won't work anyway.

Oh no Atkins, don't go become a sysadmin! I'm not even the sysadmin of my VPS and I can tell it's hard and annoying.
