Default Lost Finale

I quite enjoyed the finale. Things turned out to be a lot more mundane than I expected, though. It seems they worked pretty hard for six years just to leave almost every single question unanswered. But it was nice to see everyone finally happy for a change.

At least now I have a reason to watch the show, given that they didn't cancel it halfway through the plotline. :P

I didn't like it that much because...There were still a lot of things that they didn't really answer. And they should have had a more epic fight at the end with "Locke" :P
But I really liked the whole series though!

Say what? Was that supposed to be a summary of the series? If so, it is really obvious that you didn't watch it. You can't convey the magnitude of the Lost storyline in simple terms. It was epic. I doubt we will ever see the like again, although there will be many attempts, more than likely.

I said I didn't watch it. I got that from ADVERTISEMENTS.

Also, I grew to hate shows like that. They just try and add more and more plot twists and just on the adds I got completely lost (*snicker*)

yes, there were more and more plot twists as the series went on. no one could argue with you there. but what sets Lost apart is in the middle of the 3rd season they announced that season 6 would be the last season. they had a definite ending. most shows that keep adding plot twists eventually jump the shark, get notice they are being cancelled, and rush a sub-par ending.

Indeed. Lost has been essentially revolutionary. But still I wish there had been more answers and less mystery at the end. However many people like mysteries, and filling in their own meanings.

Look, did you honestly think I knew that?

When it started the add said ~Some people stranded on an island and must find their way off.~ It seemed simple. Then one of the adds said they had gotten off, but for some reason were stuck back there again. then there were time travel and clones and before you know it they are trying to stop a nuke. The thing is these plot 'twists' and more like cannon balls. I know lots of people like lost, but I'm saying why I don't. (In addition to all this, I hate most shows like Coronation Street Shortland Street well, you know what I mean. All I said is I don't like lost, I didn't want to be told that I should because other people do. (That will probably just stop me more, I'm usually trying to become an outcast of overly popular groups.)

the only episode I watched was the one with the bunkers and the dead man's switch. I didn't really get it, and never returned to the series.

Megadog, nobody said you had to like the series, or watch it, or even know much about it. It's a free planet, right? I'm just saying that I enjoyed it, despite it's shortfalls.

Oh yeah...They never said anything about the numbers! I thought that was going to be some kind of giant secret to the island. Like I said...I liked the show...but I was disappointed with the lack of questions answered after they stated that ALL questions would be answered in the finale.

There were tonnes of things unanswered. Who built the temple? How did the Dharma Initiative find out about the island? How did some people come and go from the island while others were stuck there? Were all the dead people who appeared on the island the smoke monster? What about dead people appearing in the outside world? I could go on and on.

If that is the only one you saw, i am not surprised you were confused. Lost is very serialized. if you don't know the story from episodes passed, you very likely will have no idea what is going on.
