Default Maze of Ludicrosity Change

Why and when was the Maze changed so that a player can't have two rooms adjacent to each other? I'm guessing its because no one plays it anymore, and that it might not be fun for someone who comes along once in a blue moon to find acres of rooms made by one guy. But I'd like to create some stories, or something, in there. Also, this new rule kinda makes the Maze go in a vicious cycle: Guy reaches the end of the Maze, builds a room, realizes he can't build another and doesn't want to go all the way back, and leaves. New person comes, same thing. They assume that there room won't get added on very quickly (and it doesn't), so they never come back, and they don't want to go back, in case they forget the answer to a riddle that they had already passed.

Believe me, you wouldn't have liked the maze without that rule at the time it was added. And it does defeat the purpose for one person to make a big string of rooms. But maybe it's time for it to reset? That would be exciting!

Hmm, an interesting concept. Would sure make it easier to eventually get that 5% awesomeness that a lot of people are missing, and would certainly provide for some excitement.

If the maze does get reset, the current maze should be saved and made accessible.

I think the main reason people stop playing is that they get stuck in a room requiring the awnswer to a puzzle that they dont know. Not that they cant make rooms.

If you're considering whether to say "yay!" or "blurg!" to a reset, please note in your decision that I can't keep the old maze, so it's all or nothing!

The old maze is filled with traps, errors and is a giant mess, so it won'tt be missed.

Return the Maze to the void, so that a new, better one can replace it.

I vote for resetting it for the obvious reason that if you keep it, I'll never play it. On the other hand, if you do reset it, then I'll enjoy the newly created maze and probably add on to it.

Is it possible to make it in a way so that there are no trap rooms with one way out? That would be nice considering people have to often restart when in a room like that.

Preferably one where it's NOT LOCKED!

Dead ends are okay, just not traps.

I've had to delete a lot of rooms for the same two reasons, so remember these things when making a room:

1. If you put in a riddle, it has to be reasonable to guess/solve! This includes not making it something totally obscure like "riddle: What? answer: FIGWICHES!", but also includes not making something where the answer is "the ____" or "a ____" because people aren't likely to get the article right. As an example, one answer was "human in reverse", which requires many epic leaps of thinking exactly the same as the author - imagine people responding "backwards human" or "namuh" or "reverse human" or "backwards person" or on and on, even if they completely understood the riddle itself. You want simple straightforward answers so that if the person does solve it, they'll be able to put their answer in.

2. The "Message" box is NOT where you ask your riddle! It's the message that shows up when you SOLVE the riddle. You have to ask the riddle in the room description.
