It's not something you can just do. If it was, everyone would be doing it.

I have found that if I wake up and then go back to bed I can at least partially remember the dreams I have between then, but that's certainly not lucid dreaming.

Good night and good luck with your dreaming thing.

I tried lucid dreaming before. It worked twice.
the first time it worked, i, being in a dream and all i wasn't thinking straight, decided to try to wake myself up i woke up. ruined it.
the second time i checked my pocket watch twice and it showed strange symbols and was different from the last time i looked at it, two seconds later i forget the rest of the dream, it just faded out into a grey color.
I certainly learned to remember my dreams though. some weird ones such as trying to take pictures of bubbles that were floating everywhere to use as a reference for drawing a bubble land race course for a game i tried to make awhile back.
A minecraft building shaped like an oval cake with two huge minecraft trees growing out of it. I was skating around in the air with a 4-6 block long log trying to smack other players who were also skating around in the air with logs.
A barren mars-like landscape with two warring groups. I was part of the elite and left and hid within the resistance. A robot came after me, if the robot saw me i would die instantly. a very scary dream, especially during the part where the dream showed the robot's point of view. Like a horror movie where it displays what the monster sees.
and there were a few epic dreams i can't quite remember. I forget most of the good ones.

It was a random dream i had. One of the weirder ones. I wouldn't make my world into blocks if i managed a lucid dream for more than 2 seconds. I'd walk through a mirror instead. wonder what my mind would make out of that.

Careful though. I heard that Lucidity and mirror's don't mix.

No. I'm serious here. Your mind can conjure up some bad stuff, and I have really heard that you can see scary stuff in mirrors

I managed to pinch my cheek in my dream and wake up in real life. Nothing more than that, it just... randomly came.

I disagree with your disagreement . Yellow Wizard .!
After scanning over various threads about dreaming and mirrors, I have seen no bad experiences with mirrors, just some that were strange. Unless you think it's terrifying looking into a mirror and not seeing a perfect copy of yourself looking back.
(I have seen plenty of scary movies where horrible things happen in mirrors though)

The only way that I think it could go badly is if perhaps you did not know you were dreaming, and therefor you were not lucid dreaming and activily seeking out a mirror to look into. Then seeing a variation of yourself, or someone(/thing) else completely, might be terrifying.

And the statement of "your mind can conjure up some bad stuff..." when looking into a mirror in a lucid dream is silly.
Here's why: A: You supposedly have control over this 'lucid dream,' so you can just stop it or look away(or turn into a super robot and blow up the mirror?) and B: If your mind wanted to 'conjure up some bad stuff' it certainly wouldn't need to wait for a mirror to do it AND FINNALLY, C: Chocolate covered bacon can conjure up some bad stuff in your gut, so your arguement against my statement is bogus anyway.

Take that, #FFFF00 Wizard. You just got hexadecimal'd!

But seriously, has anyone here succeeded in this Lucid Dreaming stuff yet?
I tried for a while but never got there. I did have a rather long and vivid dream this morning after falling back asleep, but it wasn't lucid.(though I stopped 'trying' months ago so...)

I want to get it to work, but I need a lot of practice. I think I might get those glasses that are designed to do it for you.

I was only defending chocolate covered bacon, by making points that had nothing to do with it.(At the same time, rather than derailing the thread I stayed on topic)

Anyway, sorry. Have some bacon(and don't mind the dirty street below...)

on-topic bit:
If you were having a lucid dream, you could reach into your screen and eat that.
Yummy.

Though I might be concerned about the possibility of that causing you to eat your fingers or other things in real life.
