Well to be fair, the law doesn't usually apply when you are a big business.

If it wasn't for the green stuff, my cousin would still be alive.

Not to sound insincere, but was it drug related violence, abuse of the drug, or some other way the the 'green stuff' caused this tragic end?

I really don't like talking about it.

Perhaps, then, it wasn't the best idea posting about it.

Just saying, because undoubtedly those against legalization are going to try and use it as an argument, and though I can understand your unwillingness to discuss it, were others to use it as an argument, I would counterconverse.

I really just wanted to see if anyone's opinion would change after the comment, but I guess I if I'm going to post something vague, I might as well explain it. He was killed by drug-related violence.

Anyways, I don't really know what side I'm on; I suppose legalization could lessen crime rates, but if the country is full of marijuana addicts, it could also make us look bad among other countries.

Drug related violence is one of the many effects of prohibition. If anything, this should be used as a point to favor legalization. A friend of mine was killed due to drug-related violence. I am sure they would both still be alive if drugs were legal. I am pretty sure marijuana addicts are only addicted because of added substances that increase the addictiveness of the drug. I have a few friends who use it recreationally after growing it themselves and they show absolutely no addiction signs. Legalization would thus probably reduce addicts too.

See that's the thing, after it's legalized, I'm sure someone will make it more enjoyable but also more hazardous by adding something to it. And it might just end up that people are going to want the 'new marijuana' more than normal marijuana.

A lot of people IMO like marajuana a lot because it is banned and they get a thrill from breaking the law. There is a place in prtuagal mabye i think where drugs are legal and there are very little problems there, the main problems are from people going on a 'drug holiday".
