Default Electoral Reform Mafia!

As the sun set, the votes were counted, and the grand Tory Party* Mayer of Dumbsville declared that the town had switched to the most democratic system of Instant run-off voting. (See here for an explanation of how that works.)

The final list of players is:
  • Cheeselord
  • darkguyhades
  • Gigacat
  • Hammer Up
  • hyperme - Townie
  • Julian
  • Megadog
  • Pewskeepski
  • RandomCommander - Townie
  • seamonkey
  • sonicchaos1993
  • SpaceManiac
  • texasjoshua
  • tylerseeg
  • wackodude

Roles will be sent out shortly. It is currently Night 0, and the roles that have night powers have 48 hours to get their PMs in to me!

*British politics joke.

During the middle of the night, Julian was thrown off a cliff! Fortunately, he landed on a conveniently-placed trampoline, and survived. It's now Day 1.

8 accumulative votes are needed to lynch, so get voting! (Deadlines might appear later, if people are particularly inactive.)

Well, paranoia sets in here, If TJ is actually mafia, he wouldn't have said that in the first place. Unless TJ is using this as a clever ruse, I will believe him.

Anyway, good job doctor, and good luck everyone!

I find it interesting that Random immediately congratulates the doctor without considering other possibilities. It is entirely possible that the mafia didn't send in a kill or was inactive/lurking. Although the doctor is a likely explanation, he acted like he almost knew that was the case... and the only way he could know for sure is if he was the doctor or a mafia. That said, since a doctor protection is the most likely reason for the no kill, it's likely he just assumed it was a doctor protection and isn't necessarily that suspicious.

Sorry about the double post, but I had completely forgotten about the post explaining how Julian was saved by a "conveniently-placed trampoline." That wording definitely implies a doctor protection. Ignore my previous post.

Oh, I didn't even see that Julian survived. Interesting that it tells us the kill choice regardless of whether he died.

Hooray for the doctor and his trampoline! At this point, since I have nothing else to say, I would like to make a gamble. I bet 15 yerfbucks that we won't lynch anybody today; Any takers?

You know what? Since this is a democracy-set mafia game, and it's a lucky ol' day one (I say lucky because of Julian surviving the first day), then I propose a bill of "Not lynching"

All who agree with this say Vote: Agree

All who oppose say Vote: Disagree

A bit of a player-made twist that I hope Mr.Onion will approve of.

Vote: Disagree. Not so early. We can't just end the day right away! Anyway, most posts so far were plain assumptions and congratulating the doctor, which is nice, but does not really contribute to the game. XP Well, I'm clueless about who might be mafia, but we can't no lynch yet.

Precisely why I wanted to end the day that early. So far it's not going anywhere and discussion in my opinion will not seem to form anytime soon, so why not?

For now i will also vote disagree because two thrds of the players havent had an oppurtunity to speak or state their opinion yet so i think we should hold off on the no lynch for a little while

VOTE: DISAGREE

Furthermore, the idea of ending the day so soon seems rather counter productive. I have my eye on you RC.

Although the proposal has in and of itself created conversation.

AnywhoVote: Disagree

I do wonder if it was a doctor. I dunno, it just seems to be kinda lucky.
Now to speculate on the kill choice: good move/try in my opinion. I wouldn't think the doctor would protect there, and Julian is adept.

Because it's a free kill to the mafia. I think no lynch is a bad choice most of the time unless it's really needed, since on most occasions the cons are higher than the pros. I'd rather get the wrong person than not having tried at all. You do seem a bit suspicious, but I suppose you did that to create some discussion as well, so brleablrearg.

Unfortunately, I cannot count votes to lynch people in general. You've got to be specific. (Also, this is not Nomic.)

No votes.

Disagree, still alot of work to do! Have my eye on RC but he tends to do stuff like this anyway, so he probably be town. From my small analysis of today I would have to say SC is probably town, but thats it so far. But indeed, a very interesting kill coice for mafia and doctor.

Since when do doctors kill? [/joke]

Anywho, I know I'm jumping to conclusions, and I wanted action now, so I planned to put this up for either a conversation starter or a forced lynch (since I seem to be suicidal for almost all these games, makes me wish for a village idiot role...but sadly I'm only vanilla townie). I would never expect a no lynch vote that early in the game, if it did happen, I would be suspicious of the first people to jump on that vote, but nobody is that stupid.
