Default Help,OLD SOFTWARE

I am having problems trying to find software to run some programs like Serial Pin 9 To USB
and to make perfect 256 files.

What I Need:

Serial Pin 9 to USB (COM4) driver software

256 colour paint software

OS: (Must Be Windows)

I also need help with trying to install Windows XP on my 8GB Usb stick.
(I know it says to turn off Anti-Virus software but I' m not really sure I' m comfortable with that,is there another way?)

Anti-virus software tends to not matter, but turning it off generally won't hurt. Just don't go to any shady websites and you'll be fine.

Have you tried copying the tiles in the folder, drawing over them, and making sure to save them as 256 color?

I tried that and it didn' t work,Windows just keeps on sending the images through some wacky colour filter,I think that' s the only explanation for this happening.
I also have another question:
How do I turn off the anti-virus programs?

Can't you uninstall it or did you disable firewall?

I make my tiles and save it as a 24-bit bitmap with a black background.
But when I load it into JSPedit,it does not change the black to transparrent.
I really need solutions.

I don't really feel comfortable doing that. Oh and by the way,do you know any windows paint programs which have a 8-bit Bitmap save option?

What about MS Paint? There's Gimp, Photoshop, Paint Tool SAI and many more.

That's all fine but I can't find a download link for MS-PAINT and with the SAI paint tool,I want to use it whenever l feel like,I don't really want to use it under the pressure that I have to make the most out of it. Gimp would be a nice option but I find it to be mostly Image Manipulation software, maybe I would choose Gimp but I am not really sure. What I really want is just a nice simple, not too fancy,24bit-Bitmap(Or whatever input is avaliable) to 8-bit Bitmap converter or program.

If you're running Windows, you have MS Paint. It's under Accessories in the start menu, or just press Windows Key+R (or go to Start->Run), type in "mspaint", and hit enter.

You want the pencil-looking icon, it should be the first icon in the 'Tools' section (on Windows 7 at least).

For your 256-color problem, I wrote a small program in a couple of hours which should help with your image conversion needs: http://wombat.platymuus.com/lunaticpal/. Let me know if it works for you.

Talking Re: Help,OLD SOFTWARE

I'm totally lost by everyone posted above, but at least I think I've found the right place for my question.

My software for Halloween II is old and worked fine on XP, but it's a bit iffy on Windows 7. I was wondering if there is a patch or if I need to do something else or if I just tolerate the graphics problem that I'm having.

As far as working, it seems to be fine except for the weapons lock. It doesn't seem to matter where it's set. It stays where I have it regardless. I can't upgrade or downgrade my weapon.

I know it was a bit risky to try it on Windows 7, but it seemed the perfect game for this time of year! I've played it for years, and it never gets old.

Are there new games that I'm missing? I see there's a new one on the horizon. I love your games!!!

Well do you mean discolouration problems? In that case I think these threads might help:

Speaking of new games, from time frame are you talking about from 2007? Well In this present time there is a new version of Supreme, 8.0d, you can grab it straight away if you own Supreme, if it's not in your downloads page then email Jamul some evidence that you own SWC such as billing addresses etc... And there is a new version of Sleepless Hollow 2.0d, which comes with an editor! And of course there's Growtopia!
