Default Who Would You Trust

I'm doing a study on spammers and how people perceive it. It's really nothing more then a simple discussion thread. Please give your reasons!

I prefer sites that don't use ads - that said some of people make a living off of their small site, and ads generate revenue which I can understand and respect.

I go to websites that are relevant to my interests unless they do something I find absolutely despicable.

To provide an example - I'm incredibly involved in the Grifball/Halo community. If a new Grifball tournament scene/league started up, I'd most likely be very interested in it. If said league, however, advertised via unsolicited spamming on forums, or a similar method, chances are I'd never want anything to do with them.

As far as paid advertising on websites, I have no issue with it so long as it is clearly paid advertising. If it's disguised to look like legitimate content on the website, that's just deceiving and nothing I'd want anything to do with.

On a side note I don't think the wording of your answers makes discussion fair. The answers are pretty clearly slanted to favor one side of the discussion.

Sheesh Seamonkey, I'm not expecting everyone to move to one side. I'm just trying out discussion starters. Why would I be a snapper? It's Hamumu Software anyway. I'm not allowed to make hostile remarks or anything along those lines anyway.
