Default Controversy

A random poll, do you think controversy would make Dr. L SWC worlds more interesting and exciting?

What exactly do you mean by controversy? I'm all for new and interesting, but intentionally stirring up trouble is generally unwise.

Controversy as in implementing controversial ideas in a game, such as the reason for Christianity, or the truth of Christopher Columbus. And these ideas would be somehow implemented in the world in someway, maybe as the storyline, or as characters.

And I would think, why not, after all, are games just another medium for sharing ideas, or thoughts. That's what a few books say to me.

I not saying this is a bad idea, because it's a terrible idea. There's a time and place for deep thinking in games, but Dr. Lunatic isn't that place.

I see your sarcasm, speaking of which, I am trying to find a more accurate map that is not biast, the common used map today is the Mercatar version, which is totally wrong and when you have the proper facts, it makes no sense.

If you're looking for a "non-biased" map projection to use, check out some of the ones in the "Equal Area" or other sections on the Wikipedia article for map projections.

I'm so conflicted! I want to post a link to the xkcd maps page, but I also want to follow the rules and ever so often one of the comics edges on not being family friendly via strong language.
Upon looking at the rules I have decided to err to safety as the rule implies that if the site contains anything profane no part of the site should be linked to. Shame really. Nerdy cartographer humor is best humor.

...s'pose I could have done that. You forgot the title text though.

Accurate maps are really hard to find, while the Peter's projection map got some of it right, I am still unsure whether it got China and India right, those 2 land masses still look like they are from a Mercator projection map.

Is anyone else confused about how a discussion of controversy in Dr. Lunatic became a map discussion?

Also Globes FTW.

See posts #4 and #5. #4 is non-map discussion, #5 is map discussion.
