I made a thread about General C. and his victory ofer "Flushia" on Total Mayhem a while ago, I think it's in the collection of old TM threads I uploaded. It features a picture of the general... I still wonder why I didn't get banned for that. I didn't even get a PM about it or anything. In fact, the whole thread didn't get any replies.
Anyway, back on topic, General Blabber sound utterly stupid and the abbreviation for it is used for a Nintendo handheld system. "General Blabber" makes me think of Balabber from Balabber's Odyssey being fused together with Duff McWhalen leading an army of brown ball robots (actually, the original name caused similar thoughts. So does "Where's Waldo" for NES because it makes your brain melt.)

Argh, jamul must've gotten some complaints from one those annoying stiff types who think crap is a bad word. x_x I was at a fishing class once, and a fish got away. "Oh crap!" I exlaimed, at this kid next to me turned. "Ooooh! You said a swear word!" "Crap isn't a bad word." "It is in my house!" "Well your house must be disfunctional, because anybody who thinks crap is even remotely close to a bad word is a stiff." Upon that comment I turned and went to fish at another part of the dock. I despise anybody foolish enough to think crap is a bad word, and hope that they'll come to their senses, if they have any.

(EDIT: That paragraph was not aimed at any one person, and sorry for any offense it may have caused. >_>)

Hey, I think that it's a bad word!

But, I suppose, that I don't say anything that's moderately close to a swear word! :P

Isn't a stiff a dead person? Therefore they can't think it's a bad word.

PS, I think it's a bad word too, and I'm not pushing up the daisies!

I am an adult, so let me weigh in here.

Blackmyth, here are the Merriam-Webster definitions of the word. (In case you don't know, that's a dictionary.)

1. a: usually vulgar : excrement b: usually vulgar : the act of defecating

2 sometimes vulgar : nonsense, rubbish

The word vulgar means lacking in cultivation, perception, or taste : coarse; morally crude, undeveloped, or unregenerate.

In your fishing story, you were obviously using the word as an expletive. In other words, in that sense, it was vulgar.

So I am siding with the Atkins brothers on this one. Blackmyth, go to your room and wash your mouth out with soap! And I mean now!

It may be a bit crude and oafish, but it is certainly not a swear word. As you can see, it didn't say that crap was a bad word. ._.

The definition of swearword: a profane or obscene word. The definition of profane includes the word vulgar. Obscene is a synonym for coarse, which is a synonym for vulgar.

The word is vulgar. It is therefore obscene. It is therefore a swearword. Just because you use it in place of a word that is more commonly recognized as a swear word, that doesn't clean it up. It's still a pile of horse manure.

Here in Florida, they pronounce crappie very oddly, indeed! They call the crappies "Speckled Perch".

Something like "General Chat" would've been a better choice imo, but considering Hamumu is supposed to be dumb and such, maybe General Blabber fits better, as it really does sound dumb :-P Now to get this darn orb collecting whale general out of my head.
