Ys rocks! I rented the one in question awhile ago. It's great. They even made fun of the fact that Dogi's only purpose in the entire series is to break through walls.

*** You're right! LOLOLOLOLOLOL. So, have you ever defeated that one monster in Amnesia Ruins where you have use Erricil constantly? I can kill him in time attack, but I can't beat him in the actual game (strength isn't high enough). If your wondering who I'm talking about, look at the bottom of the list, right below Napishtim itself.

I tried him a few times after beating the game and he beat me very soundly so I forgot about him for awhile. I could probably do it if I practised it a few times.

All of the games have gotten ports and remakes. Especially the first two.

I may try to get this game for my birthday! On august ninth. Anyway, I just got Warioware: Twisted! but have yet to play it. I also got to level 47 on the Warioware: Touched! demo in EBGames in uptown minneapolis. I died on the level where you have to scratch Toad's, Mario's and Wario's back. I was kinda distracted though, that may have been why.

Wario Ware Twisted is good, but you should know that it doesnt work like that. You didn't get to "level" 47, you just SCORED 47, The games are chosen randomly from the set. Unless Touched is different from the others.

Warioware is for Nintedo systems....
Gameboy advance, DS, and they have one for gamecube...

So if that's where you got PS2, you're mistaken (Nintedo wouldn't put their games on Sony stuff...

I dont think the PC version left Japan. I could be wrong, though.

Well, unless we somehow know fluent Japanese and we go and email one of the creators of Ys, it'll forever be a mystery

Is the series freeware?
I doubt it...
I've gotten a few freeware japanese games
Translated too...
Ikachan (Finally found one... although it isn't a very good translation...)
Akuji (Full title adds 'The demon' to it... but I've seen it written like that... I've heard of two translations... [Hard is definatly hard... I've gotten to the FINAL boss in it... (Not first time)])
and one you might have heard of:
Cave Story (Full translation... so many secrets your head esplode! Balrog: Toaster[when not facing forward] or Lunchbox[Because of the door behind him made it look like he had a lunchbox handle, when he faced forward] [I think he looks like a living toaster!])

Btw, Blackmyth, those neighbors won't be moving out anytime soon, so you know.

Back to Ys, I'm pretty sure it's not freeware, but it might've been translated to english because it's listen in videogame music on vgmusic.com. And it doesn't say it's a Japanese game on the title (some games there say they're from Japan). So, maybe it is in english somewhere. Any one got the guts to search for it on Ebay or something?
