Yeah,Yu-gi-oh cards might be great now but something else is going to seem better soon. My old school went through LOTS of different things.
(Pokemon cards,Bayblade, ect.) They only lasted between 1-2 weeks. After that, nobody cared about them.

Down the toilet?
Well, I had to make an excessive step...
I say:
Money goes down the tripod toilet!

Oh and to make sure you can see it, you have to go to this site:
http://www.angelfire.com/nj4/warning7b/
Let it load completly, then look for the toilet...

Well to speak the truth I only have about $5. I'm also planning on getting a Laptop. I now what your thinking, a 9-year-old shouldn't have a laptop. Yet.

I'm thinking: What does a 9-year-old do with a laptop?

Being nine really limits your opportunities. I would suggest entering contests. There are many contests geared toward your age group, and you can win good scholarships for college through them. Although you wouldn't directly get the money, you'll be happy when you go to college and don't have to pay some of it.

If you want some cold, hard cash, do chores around the house, and wait a bit. Besides, buying something that's part of a fad will hurt you in the long run. I would suggest buying things that you'll treasure for a long time rather than stuff like Yugi-Oh cards.

I suggest saving up for the laptop, but don't buy it until you're about 16 or 17. That way, you can keep it for college, and you don't have to worry about saving up the money later.

Hmm well sadly If you lived in Alberta you'd be getting 400$, every citizen of "Alberta" get's 400$ that's why I recently purchased kid mystic. well not really every citizen, every person in a household. yay I'm going to buy Diablo 2 battle chest next maybe, or perhaps a pack of cards, maybe some dice, even better a new risk board game!

Oh back to subject: I think you should wait a few years to do any possible form of work. Besides Yu-Gi-Oh cards will be out soon, I didn't see anyone this year with them. So don't waste money on pieces of paper that have acid in them and will degrate in 100 years. They put acid in paper to make it white.
